Seismic Interpretation for Hydrocarbon & Prospect Maturation
About Course
This course provides a practical and industry-focused introduction to seismic interpretation and hydrocarbon prospect maturation, combining classical and advanced interpretational techniques. We provide the software and data for learners to practice together with the instructor. It is designed to help learners develop the technical skills required to interpret seismic data, evaluate hydrocarbon prospects, and support exploration decisions in real-world workflows.
The objective of the course is to make students capable of understanding the complete seismic interpretation workflow, including the identification of structural and stratigraphic traps, reservoir characterization, and prospect evaluation. The course covers essential seismic attributes such as Amplitude Variation with Offset (AVO), Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators (DHIs), spectral decomposition, and geometric attributes, etc., enabling you to analyze subsurface features and recognition, and predictive analysis, enhancing interpretation accuracy.
